MY FORTIES WERE MY ABSOLUTE FAVORITE DECADE!

I feel like I finally started listening to myself and identifying MY needs.
I stopped trying to please EVERYONE and focused on who and what was the most important.
I truly decided to be ME, at all costs!
It was tumultuous, exhilarating, terrifying, painful, joyful...all the feels...
but I was more ME than I had ever been in my life, and I would do it again!
I went back to school at 40, stopped saying yes to everything,
started my photography business, developed a business model
designed to cater to and connect with other women
providing a luxury, loving, transformative experience, just like I would want for myself!!
Why women in particular?
Because, as a woman, I noticed how I often put what I really wanted
on the back burner.
I also noticed that I was never really in pictures.
I was always behind the camera.
No one picked up a camera and said hey, let me take a picture of you.
Or you and the kids. I had to ask, and only did a few times.
I avoided the camera, didn't feel worthy of being in photos
because of my extra weight, too old, my hair,
didn't feel good enough, etc etc,
